These photos were taken over my Florida getaway last weekend and looking at them now, it just makes me wish for warm weather and sun in New York. Though we are a couple months away from that, it doesn't mean I can't wear some of the spring/summer items out there now. This dress worked great in Florida, but still can be made appropriate for New York's current weather with some tights, boots, and a fabulous coat. While the cold weather can be dreary, it really does teach you to layer and get the most out of your closet.

This week has been a doozy. From having two flights cancelled on me, my hip causing me so much pain I could barely move, to catching up on everything at work from when I was away, this week has felt very, very long! It seems in three days, my rejuvenated self from my trip has been washed away. On that note, I could not be happier for Friday and the weekend. I plan to relax, bake a couple things, and spend some time with my sister in town. Have a great weekend!

Whenever I struggle with putting together an outfit, I always resort back to my neutrals. So in packing for my trip to Florida, I made sure to pack some of my favorite neutral pieces to keep things simple. Black and white is an effortless combo that I love, so it was perfect to wear on my trip as it looked chic without taking much time to get ready.

Happy Monday everyone! I wore this outfit to lunch at the beach during my Florida getaway and can’t wait to wear it once it warms up in NYC. This tunic was one of the pieces I wore most on my trip and I love the crisp white and blue combo. It just screams warm weather and sun! And hopefully, NYC will be experiencing some of that soon!
