Falling for Navy

Falling for Blues2
With the official start of fall two days away, I am ready to begin wearing all the moody fall colors out there with navy being my current favorite. I’ve always loved the classic feel of navy and how it seamlessly pairs with neutrals. There are so many great navy pieces in stores right now, so I’ve rounded up the pieces I'd want to add to my fall wardrobe along with the neutral pieces I'd want to pair with them.

Wedding Update: Bridesmaid Gift

Monday, September 18, 2017

Since getting engaged at the end of last year, I really haven’t talked much about our wedding planning. While I want some things to remain a surprise, I also do want to share some details along the way. So to start, today I want to share with you the gifts I gave to my bridesmaids when I asked them to be in my wedding.

There are so many gift ideas out there on what to get your bridesmaids and after looking for inspiration online, I knew I wanted to make the gift personal and also be a collection of things I love. For the personal aspect, I chose to get each bridesmaid a Landsend canvas tote monogrammed with their initials. Then inside the bag contained a box of some of my favorite things - Vanille Diptyque candle and matches, rose gummy roses by Sugarfina, and an Essie nail polish in Fiji.

Embroidered Denim Jacket

Tuesday, September 5, 2017

Dress: Madewell, Jacket: HM, Sandals: Jcrew, Purse: Celine, Sunglasses: Ray-Ban
This summer flew right by and it’s hard to believe it’s September and Labor Day weekend is already over. While Labor Day signifies the unofficial end of summer, I want to share one last summer look. This look screams summer because of my white dress, but this denim jacket will definitely be something I carry over to my fall wardrobe. It's the perfect denim jacket with its oversized look and the embroidery on the back is amazing. I bought it on whim and it has become one of my favorite pieces.

Current Picks

HM Collage

I’ve always been someone who shops at a lot of different stores to find the pieces I love. Therefore, I rarely find myself buying a number of items from the same store consistently, especially over a short time period. Lately though, I keep finding great pieces I really like from H&M that I can’t pass up. It’s not a store I’ve ever too consistently shopped in the past, but right now they keep seem to be getting it right for me. I’ve rounded up some over my current favorite picks to share and encourage you to check out their assortment, if you haven’t lately.

Dress: Target, Bag: Milly, Sandals: Jcrew, Sunglasses: Ray-ban
You know that feeling when you try something on and you just don’t want to take if off be cause you like it that much? That’s the exact feeling I had when I tried on this dress. The fit is amazing, the flowy skirt is perfect for keeping you cool, and the blue and white pattern is so pretty!

P.S. If you have been in love with the Mark Cross wicker bags, this one is a great alternative!

Blue at Sea

Wednesday, June 28, 2017

Dress: Gap (Similar), Tote: Old Navy, Sandals: Jcrew, Sunglasses: Ray-Ban
After spending a week at sea, I’m having a serious blue moment. The water was the prettiest color blue and is inspiring my current wardrobe choices. I had picked up this dress before the trip, after searching for a white dress with blue embroidery for the longest time, and loved how the blue embroidery matched the pretty blues of the ocean!

Bermuda Packing

After a crazy couple weeks, I am so excited for my upcoming cruise to Bermuda! It will be my first time visiting the island and I can’t wait to check it out! I’ve been picking up different pieces for the trip and blue and white is major theme. There are just so many amazing blue and white pieces out there and I can’t get enough of them! Also, I am loving all the natural tone accessories - canvas espadrilles, straw totes, etc. They are so versatile and serve as the perfect summer finishing touch for an outfit!

Pink Coat

Tuesday, May 23, 2017

Coat: Zara, Dress: French Connection (similar), Clutch: Halogen, Flats: Chloe, Sunglasses: Madewell
Blush pink or as many have called it, millennial pink, has been a big trend this Spring. As someone who wear more neutrals, I've been a big fan of this more muted pink color and couldn't resist getting this fun pink jacket. I paired it here with a little white dress for a more lady who lunches look, but have also worn it with distressed jeans and a tee for a more casual look.
