If you follow me on Instagram, then you know I was back home in Minnesota for the weekend. It’s always nice to get back to Minnesota and get a little break from the hustle and bustle of the City. I kept the weekend pretty low key and just tried to relax and enjoy the last of the summer weather. As excited as I am for the crisp fall weather to come, I am really going to miss wearing easy dresses like this one. I have been living in neutral summer dresses (mostly in black and white, and paired with gold accessories) all summer for an easy, pulled together look, so I am hoping to keep things just as simple for Fall.

The official start of Fall is less than a month away and I couldn’t be more excited for the change of seasons! I have already begun to transition my purchases and am loving all the great pieces already out there. The 70s is making a big comeback this Fall and there are lots inspired pieces across all categories. I am especially loving the suede skirts, bucket bags, and fringed Ponchos. This summer I just can't seem to get enough whites. Whether it's a dress or separates, I just love the crisp look of an all white look paired with gold and neutral accessories. I found this shirt a couple weeks ago while out shopping and knew I immediately wanted to pair it with my white skinnies for an all white chic look.

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all had a fantastic weekend! I spent my weekend visiting friends in Providence and wore this look for a day full of activities. I picked up these patterned shorts during Zara’s sale and they have become an unexpected favorite. I have been pairing them with simple basics from a silk tank to a blazer to take them from day to night.

This past weekend, I headed out of the city and up to Westchester to spend some time out of the hustle and bustle of the city. It’s always nice to get out of the city now and again and take advantage of those things you really can't do in the city. We did just that by eating dinner al fresco on a lake one night and spending Sunday out on the Hudson River just relaxing on a boat. It reminded me a lot of my days growing up, when my family would spend almost every weekend of the summer out on the water in our boat.
