Eat Play Dress

Shirt: Anthropologie, Jeans: Jcrew, Shoes: M.Gemi, Sunglasses: Ray Bans
Even though it’s almost April, it still snowed this weekend in New York. Although it was only flurries, this cold weather is becoming too much to bare. Winter can’t seem to go away, but it doesn’t mean I can’t dress like spring has already begun. Since it’s still too cold to wear dresses with bare legs, I have been wearing my white jeans often lately. I paired them here with this black top, and this purse and shoes borrowed from my sister for a classic black and white look. These shoes are from the new brand M.Gemi and they are really amazing! The quality is fantastic and I could not believe how comfortable they were for the height. If you haven’t yet checked out the brand, you can check them out here and make sure to check back regularly as they add new styles often!

Budget or Covet Flats1
I am so excited about today’s budget or covet as I have lusted after the Chloe Lauren scalloped ballet flats for a long time. A couple of weeks ago, I even came close to buying them until I tried them on and they looked horrible on my feet. They made my feet look fat and just unattractive. Disappointed, I looked for similar styles and found a couple of pairs of affordable versions (here), but they were not made of real leather and I really wanted to find a comparable option that was leather and would last. Then last week, I came across the Augusta from Sam Edelman and ordered them. I got them earlier this week and they are perfect! They have the adorable scalloped edge and best of all look good on my feet! At a fraction of the price of the Chloe Flats, the Augusta flat by Sam Edelman are a fantastic, and in my case better, alternative and I could not recommend them more.

Skirt: Loft, Jacket: Jcrew, Top: Urban Outfitters, Shoes: Target, Purse: Old Navy, Sunglasses: Ray Ban, Watch: Michelle
Ever since seeing this picture of Olivia Palermo wearing a windowpane dress, I have been a huge admirer of the pattern. Last month then at Loft, I spotted this skirt and I knew I had to have it. This skirt would be easy to dress up with heels and a sweater, but I chose to dress it down and paired it with a denim jacket and my new favorite espadrilles for an easy look for brunch and a day with my family in from out of town.

I have been trying to eat healthier as of late, so when I have a craving for sweets, I make this delicious peanut butter and banana smoothie. It’s based off a similar one I had at Juice Generation and is so easy to make with only a few ingredients. To make, blend together 1 frozen banana, 2 tablespoons peanut butter, and one cup almond milk. Then add ice cubes if you prefer icier smoothies, I normally add 3-4 ice cubes, and blend until smooth. Enjoy and have a great weekend!

Sweater: Macys (similar), Scarf: HM, Jeans: Old Navy, Purse: Banana Republic, Shoes: Repetto, Sunglasses: Ray Ban
With Spring like weather hitting New York all last week and weekend, I finally find myself reaching for more lighter colors and less black. One of my favorite color combos as of late has been blush and gray. I wore this look for a laid-back Sunday and am really loving this new blush tone bag. It’s the perfect size for running errands and the color is gorgeous and goes with almost anything.
