Last week in fall trends, I talked about leather (here) and this week I want to talk about leopard print. Leopard print has been big for awhile, but it is not slowing down. The print has become so popular, it is almost a neutral. One thing I am excited about for leopard this fall, is it being presented in new color palettes. This sweatshirt in blue and black is a great example. It let’s you rock the print, without being so bold about it. Whether you wear it boldly or more muted, you will be right on trend.

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you all had a fantastic weekend! Most of my weekend was spent outside of the city enjoying the beautiful weather. While out and about on Saturday, I wore this dress. The stripes in combination with the scallop edges made this dress too adorable to pass up during my last trip to Madewell. I have promised myself this will be my last striped purchase for awhile, but we will see how long I will hold out considering all the new pieces coming out for fall.

{My own "Jackson Pollock" design}

While I am not a big art junky, I do appreciate the beauty of fine art. One artist I am a big fan of is Jackson Pollock for unique abstract drip paintings (see here and here). So, when I found this website that let’s you make your own Jackson Pollock design, I was very excited. It is a great way to release some stress during the day and let out your creativity. I have mentioned before about the feminine nature of my style. However, I do find it important, at times, to find ways to balance an outfit out. One great way is to add a leather jacket to contrast the feminine details of an outfit. I love in this outfit, how the structure and zippers of the leather jacket add an edge and compliment the flowiness of the maxi skirt.

I made these cocktail glasses a few weeks ago (here) and was more than excited to use them to make this Pomegranate Blackberry Spritzer. To make this drink, I started with my favorite kind of alcohol, gin, and decided to pair it with some of my favorite fruits, pomegranate and blackberries. The tartness of the pomegranate juice and blackberries perfectly pairs with the gin and a little simple syrup adds the right amount of sweetness to the drink. Topping it off with some tonic creates a drink you will be sipping on all night long.
